Account Deletion
Effective Date: April 24, 2026
This page explains how to delete your Streamtunes account, what must happen before deletion, and what information is removed when your request is completed.
How to Delete Your Account
- In the Android app, open Account Settings and choose Delete My Account.
- On the website, sign in and open Manage Account, then choose Delete Account.
You must complete the confirmation prompt before the deletion request is accepted.
Before You Delete
Cancel Any Active Subscription
You must cancel any active subscription before deleting your account. Once the subscription has been cancelled, you can proceed with account deletion. Deleting your account ends access tied to that account and removes your playlists and account data.
Active Creators Must Stop First
If you are currently an active creator, you must first use Stop Being a Creator on the website before deleting your account.
Stopping being a creator removes your uploaded songs from Streamtunes, deletes the associated song files from storage, and removes those songs from playlists across the service. After that step is complete, you can delete your user account.
What We Delete
- Your account profile and sign-in data, including your email login and passkeys
- Your playlists and playlist memberships
- Your likes, dislikes, and song reports
- Your mobile verification codes and similar account-access records
- Your subscription records and related account associations
Streamtunes currently works through subscription access. If you create a new account later, your deleted playlists and settings will not be restored.
What May Be Retained
We may retain limited records when required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, tax and accounting obligations, or backup recovery windows.
Some historical stream or payout records may remain only in de-identified or disassociated form after account deletion.
Create a New Account Later
You can register for a new Streamtunes account in the future, but account deletion is permanent for the deleted profile. Your previous playlists, preferences, and other deleted account data will not come back automatically.
